Banks Toxic Assets

The size of the toxic assets the Government are planning to take on are massive (around £250bn for Lloyds and £325bn for RBS - total £575bn) - almost as large as the existing entire Government debt - no way should we, the taxpayer be taking on this debt.

No-one has said what is the best estimate of how much of this debt is going to be bad. Let's hear this before we can sanction this insurance.
